Golden beetroot are the sweeter, less earthy cousins of the more well-known purple beetroot. In this ferment, we pair them with white cabbage, turmeric, black pepper and other spices to create a nutritional powerhouse. The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric are enhanced by fermentation and the addition of black pepper, and beetroot is loaded with minerals that support the liver and gallbladder, as well as cleansing the blood. It may be a superstar in the nutrition world, but we want you to eat just because it tastes so good (and looks great on the plate)!
Serving Suggestion: Serve it as an accompaniment to curries, or make a quick raita by folding it through yoghurt, add it to a toastie or a cheese plate, or add some bright golden tang to a salad.
